ADEP — Recycling to educate

EDUCATION PROJECTS FOR AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT

Recycling to educate, educating to transform

We collect unused computers in Barcelona, give them a second life and set up digital classrooms in Conakry. Technology that builds the future from the roots up, not from handouts.

  • Collection — We collect unused computers and bring companies and volunteers on board. What is scrap to some is a first opportunity for others.
  • Logistics — We sort, log and refurbish every computer before shipping it to Conakry. Nothing leaves unchecked; everything arrives ready to teach.
  • Implementation — We install the classroom at the school and train local teachers so that the knowledge stays and grows on its own.

The journey of light — from Barcelona to Conakry

  1. Barcelona (41.39 N, 2.16 E) — Collection and refurbishment of donated computers.
  2. Conakry, Guinea (9.51 N, 13.71 W) — Setting up digital classrooms and training teachers.

The first thing you learn in a new classroom

Every computer that arrives in Conakry starts with this course: typing with all ten fingers, step by step and offline. Try it yourself: ten lessons, free with your ADEP account.

The middle row: this is where all ten fingers start. Green, left hand; ochre, right hand.
